Body and Finish
The Emperor Swingster has a fully hollow body with an arched top crafted from select spruce with hand-scalloped braces and sound post, and laminated maple back and sides, in the image of several great archtops of the ’50s and early ’60s. It comes in your choice of three rockin’ colors—Sunrise Orange, Translucent Black, or Wine Red—with decorative five-ply body binding and single-ply f-hole binding.

Pickups and Electronics
At the heart of the guitar are Epiphone's NEW SwingBuckers™(tm) pickups and a series/parallel electronics switching package that outperforms all others in its class. Specially designed for the Swingster, the humbuckers offer hum-free performance and feature classic Alnico-V magnets, enamel wire and over-wound coils for the perfect combination of warmth and bite. Combined with their individual volume controls and series/parallel switching (via push-pull pots on individual tone controls) the Epiphone Swingster yields a surprisingly versatile tonal palette.

Neck, Fingerboard and Headstock
Like many classic archtops, the Emperor Swingster has a three-piece hard maple neck for optimum strength and tonal clarity, carved to the popular Slim Taper profile and topped with a rosewood fingerboard with mother-of-pearl block inlays. Its headstock is back angled at 14 degrees for improved resonance and sustain, and both fingerboard and headstock are adorned in a five-ply binding, with mother-of-pearl “vine” inlay at the center of the headstock face.
